Current Projects

1. Migration induced supersaturation:

Supersaturation is a phenomena where in a community of competing species there are more species than the resources co-existing together. Currently, I'm exploring the effect of dispersal structure in meta-communities where each community can be either in supersaturation state or not. The main goal of this project is to find the optimal dispersal structure(network topology) where supersaturation of meta-community(community of communities) can be achieved even if the number of supersaturated communities is small.

2. Ecosystem stability of "Realistic" Ecosystem:

We revisit the much celebrated criteria of Robert May using "realistic" random food-webs instead of random Gaussian matrices. The idea behind generating "realistic" random food-webs is motivated by generalized modeling(GM) approach. Our central focus in this project is to test the validity of May's stability criteria for the food-webs generated through GM.
