Organisation

The maximum number of participants is restricted to 15. The students will work in daily practical exercises, seminars, and field trips together with the scientists of our institute. For some practical tasks the participants will work in small teams. The groups will share their experiences and results. For the course, ICBM will provide notebooks with the required licensed software (a.o.Matlab, R). We recommend to bring own computers for other purposes. The results obtained during the summer school will be combined and jointly presented in a final symposium.

During the first week we will have short informal presentations (max. 10 min) given by the participants in order to introduce themselves, their research interests, and their home institutions.

The participants should arrive at ICBM-Terramare in Wilhelmshaven on Sunday afternoon (July 30, 2017).

The summer school closes with a synopsis (presentations given by the participants) at ICBM Oldenburg on Friday, August 11, 2017. The departure is on Saturday, August 12, 2017 from Wilhelmshaven.

ICBM will certify the participation and grant 6 ECTS (or equivalent) for the completion of the summer school.
