Winter term
Lecture Basic Ecological Processes (3 credits)
Lecture on basic principles in ecology, including adaptation, population ecology, interspecific interactions, community ecology, eosystems, human domination of ecosystems.

Praktikum Basic Ecological Proceses (6 credits)
Two week course on experimental approaches to the analysis of ecological processes.

Statistical methods in ecology (3 credits)
ANOVA, regression, general linear models. Special feature: Using R.

Eukaryotic Microorganisms

Modul Marine Ecology (15 credits)
Seminar and lab courses on current issues in marine ecology. Collaboration with Rijksuniversiteit Groningen (Prof. Dr. Klemens Eriksson) and Alfred-Wegener Institute Helgoland (Dr. Arne Malzahn).
Seminar including literature reviews (3 credits)
Lab course with expermetns, 2 weeks (6 credits)
Individual Projects (6 credits)
