An article based on the JenaExperiment appeared online early in PNAS today. It shows that more dive5rse assembalges allow for higher functional turnover, which promotes the maintenance of high levels of productivity as an ecosystem function over multiple years.

Hideyuki Doi, at present postdoc in our lab, will be honored the 14th Denzaburo Miyadi Award of the Ecological Society of Japan (ESJ). The award is for a young investigator and ESJ member with exceptional publications. The award ceremony and lecture will be hold at the 57th annual meeting of ESJ on 18 March 2010.
