About us Getting There The Junior Research Group IMPULSE at the Institute for Chemistry and Biology of the Marine Environment (ICBM), University of Oldenburg, is funded by the German Federal Ministry for Education and Research within the directive "Research for a sustainable Coastal Zone Management" and the federal state of Lower Saxony. Scientists from different disciplines work on the development of Information and Decision Support Systems for the utilisation and protection of the coastal environment. Furthermore IMPULSE is participating in the European Interreg IIIb project POWER - Pushing Offshore Wind Energy Regions, and the two German ICZM platform projects Coastal Futures and ICZM Oder.
